Description
This projects attempts to render the building completely open along the axes of Via Bergognona and Via Tortona, creating a “piazza”, and at the same time respond to the needs for flexibility in functional spaces.
The opening of the ground floor toward the piazza is arranged with a system of stairs, ramps and terraces. The flow of people works to animate the open gallery. Two large roofs characterize the project: one translucent that creates the covered piazza and the other trans-apparent with projections of images superimposed on the sky.
The spectacularization of the flows (physical) of people melts in with that of the flows (immaterial) of information. The piazza, defined by three symbolic axes (X, Y, Z) thus becomes a gigantic multimedia, interactive screen that gives centre stage to the cultural, informative and commercial activities of the neighborhood and city.
