The central piece is a representation of the beautiful experience of a drop falling into water, creating an enigmatic movement and ripples. The installation by Hector Serrano, uses innovative and sophisticated technology in an unexpected and inventive way to capture this captivating natural phenomenon.

Digital Wallpaper noviembre 17, 2009

To decorate the office space of Büro Hirzberger in Vienna Strukt realised a digital wallpaper that illuminates the walls. In this self-initated project Strukt was given complete creative freedom by the client, and developed a system to project video and realtime content undistorted onto any surface.

The basic idea was to light up the black and white striped office wall by mapping the architecture with multitple projectors. The program developed by Strukt is scripted in vvvv and is scaleable to any number of projectors and any architectural shape. Several different visualisations have been realised already, amongst it a Pac Man animation as well as moving stripes, and more are in development. The content could also be made interactive, reacting to people passing the ground-floor offices.

Reflecting upon and reinterpreting the Liberty Science Center’s belief that every person’s actions affect everyone else on the planet and conversely, how global changes affect each one of us, Leni Schwendinger Light Projects LTD has designed a dynamic, interactive digital artwork that captures the movement of every visitor as they circulate throughout the Great Hall. The composite of the movements of many creates an ever-changing three-dimensional “spatial portrait” that is suspended in the mid-space of the Hall, eleven feet above the floor. From multiple positions in the Hall, sensors and video cameras track visitor’s movements and through digital processing and switching, this information is translated and displayed on a spatial field, in the shape of a rectangle. This pendant of 108 strands of light emitting diodes (LEDs), each 8 feet long, creates a dazzling show of light in real time, with an element to the spatial portrait, each and every visitor contributing.
