El Proyecto de Ibon Mainar “Proyecciones en el Exterior”, recibe Beca para el Fomento y Desarrollo de Actividades en el Área de las Artes Visuales.
“Se trata de “invadir” espacios mediante una proyección de gran tamaño.
Es una intervención que toma el espacio mediante una videoproyección, pero a su vez, la acción es completamente efímera ya que no toca el lugar…”
Description
Created by spanish artist ibon mainar, ‘proyecciones en el exterior’ (‘outside videoprojections’) offer visually stimulating but completely ephemeral works of interventionist art.
With the outdoor landscape as his canvas, mainar projects large, high-resolution images that engage in conversation with their surroundings.
Of course, the pieces are composed only of light, so when the projector is turned off, the environment is left completely untouched.
