About the project
ESQUINAS is an exhibit made of a series of visual pieces realized on architectural spaces through implicit experimentation of visual arts. This series is inspired by op art and is created with the help of architectural spaces, such as ceilings, walls, floors, etc., through deformed abstract drawings to obtain images dependent on the observer’s movement through said spaces.
About the artist
Christian Saucedo was born in Durango, Mexico, in 1981 and is a Visual Artist with studies in Architecture at Durango Institute of Technology. In 2008, he received a M.Ph. in Visual Arts from the Academy of San Carlos at National School of Arts UNAM (Mexico) and the School of Architecture at the University of Sevilla (Spain).His work is linked with the concept of art-space and its close relationship with architecture and digital technology.

Acerca del proyecto
ESQUINAS es una exhibición compuesta por una serie de obras visuales realizadas en espacios arquitectónicos a través de la experimentación implícita en la práctica de las artes visuales. Estas intervenciones inspiradas en el op art, crean con la ayuda de elementos que componen un espacio arquitectónico (techos, paredes, pisos, etc.), dibujos abstractos que se deforman para concluir imágenes que dependen del movimiento del espectador dentro del espacio en donde se desarrollan las obras.
Acerca del artista
Christian Saucedo (Durango, Mx. 1981) es Artista Visual con estudios de Arquitectura por el Instituto Tecnológico de Durango y la Maestría en Artes Visuales por la Academia de San Carlos de la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas-UNAM y la Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Sevilla, España.Su obra e investigaciones se vinculan al concepto y contenido del arte-espacio y su estrecha relación con la arquitectura y la tecnología.
Este proyecto se lleva a cabo gracias al apoyo del Programa de Residencias de Arte del FORCA Noroeste 2010

Geometría (christian saucedo) is the name of the second piece finished at chicago art district that uses deformed drawings to complet an image linked to the motion of the observer at a determinate area.
